It seems the instigators of the first school reunion at the Hibs Club, didn’t learn from their experience as they are planning one more event for the Holy Rood High School, Class of 72. Their reasoning is that most of us will be reaching the grand old age of 65 this year, so ‘should’ have some time on our hands.
What’s planned is a free and informal get together at the very popular Leith Dockers Club (see link below) on Friday 10th October, doors opening about 7pm till late. There will be some questionable background music from the 70’s and 80’s but not too loud. The idea is to get everyone together for a blether, not a rave. Snacks and nibbles will be provided so we really do need some idea of numbers in advance.
As mentioned, there is no attendance or admission fee, no commitments and no rules, just add your name to the list, come along and enjoy yourself, but please let us know that you will be coming. The organisers are funding this event for you but If you can and you feel inclined to do so, we will gladly accept donations on the night to help cover costs. On the off chance there is anything left over, it will be donated to the school.
You can let us know you’re coming via the FaceBook Event or by emailing us at holyrood@bconnelly.com
